This piece was a part of the one posted below. This time we had to illustrate the words as well as use 100 words minimum.

Portfolio Piece #7

This design was for my DSGD 99 class. We had to illustrate two words using only the word as type.

Portfolio Piece #6

My first project for introduction to typography. The parameters of the project were to represent repetition, transition, and opposition using type only. We also had to use every letter in the alphabet and we could repeat the letters as many times as we wanted in one square but could not use the same letters for the next square/word. (If I used ABCDE in the first square, the second square couldn’t use those letters) Oh I almost forgot, the letters had to go in the order of the alphabet.

Portfolio Piece #5

I am currently taking introduction to typography and this is just an exercise we have every couple of weeks. We go out into the world and take pictures of letter forms that we see in objects. For this exercise my letters were T and H.

Portfolio Piece #4

The final project of the semester. We had to make a poster that was informative about our object. Since bell peppers are covered in pesticides I wanted to show how pesticides have the bell pepper in its grasp.

Portfolio Piece #3

For the introduction to design class I took last semester we were required to choose an object and do various studies of that object. The first piece I posted was depicting two words in a 3-dimensional space. This project was showing two words in a 2-dimensional way. The first two squares are sliced and stuffed represented with text. For the third square we weren’t allowed to use words. I wanted to convey how the pepper can be sliced and stuffed and I attempted to accomplish this by having two different colors.

Portfolio Piece #2

A 3-dimensional project for my introduction to design class. We needed to pick two words that described our object and represent them in either a cylinder, rectangle, or triangular prism. Since my object was the bell pepper I chose the cylinder to represent its round features and hollow inside.
